Can you believe that it is already the 15th of October? Time is flying, but it doesn’t feel like it outside, with another warm period ending and another on tap next week!
First things first, tonight the state should be on alert for a potent squall line in advance of a strong cold front to pass through between 10pm and 2am. It should bring gusty showers and brief windy conditions, but clear overnight.
Tomorrow looks to be the “coldest” day of the week. By cold I mean slightly below normal. The cold front will pass and bring highs that are more seasonable, with most struggling to touch 60. The northwest wind will make it feel a bit cooler, but I have a hard time saying that tomorrow will be cold.
Tomorrow night also looks cool, with highs away from the shore in the upper 30s to low 40s, except in Litchfield County, where temperatures are likely to be colder by a few degrees.
Like the rest of the week, there will be a warming and dry trend. Tuesday looks beautiful and a bit warmer than Monday, with highs in the mid 60s for most. It’ll be another cool night on Tuesday, with temperatures in the 40s.
Like I said, warm and dry. Expect each day to be warmer than the last, as the pattern reverts to high pressure and ridging over the top, allowing for dry conditions that prevent rain chances in the state, and warmer than normal conditions. By the end of the week and into the weekend, we could see temperatures approaching 80 once again. Fortunately for us, I think the flow is such that we do not see a return of significant humidity until at least the weekend, if at all.
Monday: Sunny and seasonably cool. Breezy. Highs in the upper 50s to 60. Lows in the mid 30s in colder spots of Litchfield County to low 40s.
Tuesday: Sunny and seasonable. Highs in the low to mid 60s. Lows in the upper 30s to mid 40s.
Wednesday: Sunny and warmer. Highs in the mid to upper 60s.

Friday: Sunny and warm. Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Saturday: Sunny and warm. Highs in the low to mid 70s.
