Good evening from Southern Connecticut Weather!

Finally!!!

At this time of year, we can usually expect temperatures just below 60 degrees for highs. For the first half of the week, however, we should see temperatures well above normal. Tuesday may even feature a taste of summer!

Monday/Tuesday
Tomorrow looks like a gorgeous spring day. With ridging offshore and southwest flow, expect a very mild day. Highs should approach the mid to upper 70s with sunny skies for many inland. For both days, we with this kind of flow we have to watch for those sea breezes, which will knock down shoreline temps a bit. Even there, it’ll be nice though. The only thing that keeps tomorrow from being a perfect day is a stiff breeze that is expected to develop.

Tuesday is an even warmer day, and high temperatures will resemble early summer temperatures rather than early spring. Get out and enjoy this day! By the late evening hours, a cold front will be approaching, which may bring showers or a rumble of thunder. The timing of the front remains a bit up in the air, but right now I expect any showers to happen during the overnight hours and into Wednesday morning.

Wednesday/Thursday
Wednesday will break the streak of beautiful days, as the cold front progresses through the region. There is some indication of a shortwave passing through as well, bringing with it an increased chance of showers during the day. Wednesday should be warm, but it won’t be gorgeous like the early part of the week.

Thursday we return to nice conditions as high pressure moves back in. I expect another warm and sunny day.

Friday & The Weekend
Right now, there is a split in the guidance on Friday. Some of the guidance shows another area of low pressure rolling through, making part of Friday more wet than dry. Regardless, temperatures will come down to more seasonable numbers, with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. The weekend right now looks fine, especially on Saturday.
