The marine layer, quasistationary front and high over Eastern Canada that have produced days of rain and relatively dreary weather for the summer begins pulling out tonight.
For tonight, temperatures could be a little tricky, as skies will be clearing and the timing of the clearing will determine how low the temperatures go. With radiational cooling being the main cooling mechanism, the more difficult areas to forecast will be areas that typically radiate well. Low temperatures will probably range from the mid to upper 50s in the normally cooler locations to the mid 60s in the warmer locations.
Tomorrow will be a sunny and pleasant day, as high pressure still dominates the area, but the marine layer finally pulls out. Highs should be around 80 degrees, but areas in the Connecticut Valley could be a little warmer.
For tomorrow night and Thursday, the weather should play out very similar to those of Wednesday. With dry air in place, diurnal ranges could be fairly large. There could be a few areas that get as cold as the mid 50s in the valleys in between the Northwest hills, while highs could get close to 85 in the Connecticut Valley.
In the longer term, the weather will gradually be getting hotter. Friday should see very pleasant high temperatures around or just above 80, but then it will gradually get more summery. On Saturday, a cold front will approach from the Northwest. This should trigger a round of afternoon showers and thunderstorms. With sufficient warm air in place, it wouldn't be surprising to see some strong to severe thunderstorms, especially since the storms will be arriving during peak heating. However, it's generally not a well-advised idea to predict strong thunderstorms four days out in the meteorological community.
Sunday through Tuesday should be pleasant, with highs in the low to mid 80s on Sunday and then low 80s Monday and Tuesday, with no precipitation really expected.
Looking further beyond that, there is growing consensus amongst the numerical models for the Western Atlantic Ridge to flex its muscles again, which would return hot weather to the state, along with more thunderstorm chances every time a front approaches. With warm, humid air in place, strong thunderstorm episodes are possible.

As we can see from this map, thunderstorms are widespread across the state on this run. The only areas not quite getting into the storms would be in the far northeast. But with the storms headed in that direction, they'll be there a couple hours later.
